728  1838 (Jun 26) entire from A Crombie, Hobart Town to Edinburgh with an account of the sales of 7 bales of printing paper, crowned oval 'HOBART TOWN/VDL/26JU26/1838' on front and various other markings, including '[IN]DIA LETTER/DEAL' and boxed '½'. Several attempts at calculating the postage apparent before settling on 2/8.

Addressed to The Right Reverend Dr Kyle, Preshome-Enzie, By Fochabers. Backstamp 'ABERDEEN/NO5/1849', transit boxed 'FOCHABERS/NO 6/1849', arr d/arc 'ENZIE' in blue (date details unclear). Must have had some bulky contents to account for both the high franking and the many folds.
