823  1922-30 Wmk 3rd Crown/A used to pay single deficiency on 1924 (May 2) Victoria Official Education Dept Stationery Envelope (late use) sent from Maindample to Melbourne, underpaid for 1½d Letter rate, the due tied by Colonial-era '1' killer being a rare late use of that device. Very scarce and attractive solo use of the ½d denomination.
