ACSC states that "From 13 October 1921 postmasters were advised that envelopes could have an extra 1d stamp attached and sold at 6d.".

Edward Parry" (the company's Commissioner in charge of NSW enterprises), and sent "Pr Agnes/17Jan'y1832", endorsed "2oz" & "2/8" with '(Crown)/GENERAL POST OFFICE/12JU12/1832/SYDNEY' Type S3 oval arrival datestamp in blue, forwarded to Port Stephens with manuscript "Received at Lambton from Sydney, 15 June 1832." Important early correspondence pertaining to pastoral trade development in NSW. [The rate of 2/8d equated to 8d per ½oz x4 for a letter up to 2oz]
