The album was presented to J Cosmo Newbery CMG who was the Superintendent of Juries and Awards. Only 3 copies known, with this being the only example in private hands. Originally purchased, prior to conservation, at auction for $22,100. It has now been conserved by leading conservators and award winning bookbinders Irwin & McLaren of Cremorne.
