  1866-67 Intercolonial Exhibition Commission: Carte de visite by Henry H Bailey, photographer of Hobart Town, producer of album portraits with photograph on reverse. His card states that he won a medal at the Melbourne InterColonial Exhibition (in Class 5, Group 1 Section 16a; verified in the Official Record). Accompanied by an original albumen print of the Melbourne Public Library (attributed to Nicholas Caire) and a real photo postcard of the same building, which was originally erected for the 1866-67 Intercolonial Exhibition. Also a photocopy of the floor plan of the exhibition. (3 items)

Originally purchased, prior to conservation, at auction for $22,100. It has now been conserved by leading conservators and award winning bookbinders Irwin & McLaren of Cremorne.
