2616033  GB 1841 Australian Packet Ships: 3 page printed newsheet offering free passage to Australia, contains a wealth of information including sailing dates of 21 ships for the calendar year 1841, a map of Australia and the distance between the principal towns of NSW. Posted from Lombard St, London to Edinburgh, 1d red Stars cancelled with black Maltese Cross, fine Maltese Cross 'LS/15FE15/1841' backstamp. Small faults as expected. Attractive and rare. [Produced when colonies were targeting inwards investment and skilled labour.]
