The cover travelled on PanAm FAM-19 (service recommenced on Dec 1) via Auckland, Suva, Canton Island & Hawaii, then to Baltimore via New York, then to London with BOAC via Bermuda, Azores & Lisbon, Type X 'OAT' cachet applied in London, then on to Geneva Switzerland by Swissair, then by train to Berne.
Lot 505:1945 (Dec 4) airmail cover to Switzerland with 1/6d Hermes solo tied by Armadale (Vic) datestamp. 3125381  1854 (Sep 10) outer to France "pr Steamer Croesus" with 3d Laureate tied by Bars cancel of Sydney, '15' handstamp in black fine boxed 'COLONIES/&C ART.13' handstamp, Calais transit datestamp on face, Sydney departure and Paris arrival backstamps. [The Croesus broke both propellers en route via Cape Horn and proceeded to Ascension Island under sail, once a new propeller was fitted she continued to Calais via St Vincent (Cape Verde) & Southampton]
