Enclosed letter has had section excised, apparently by censor. Important association with events that led to 1915 Singapore Mutiny.

[Comes with biographical entry from Encyclopedia of Australian Science which - inter alia - notes that he was an accountant in the Police till 1891; quite a famous Victorian.]

Rare survivor.
