1424 ✉ 1914 Coloured PPC (Dampfer in Sicht), with no postal markings, written from Nauru on 14/8/1914 to "Dearest Mother" in Australia, some 2 weeks after the outbreak of WWI (the writer states We have been under Martial Law for a week now so can give you no news...') Also 2 unused 'Rose' sepia PPCs showing 'Road at Yangor, Nauru' and 'Buada Lagoon, Nauru.' Minor blemishes nevertheless a scarce group. (3)
