1521 | ✉F | C | 1918 use of printed POW lettersheet from Dr Bruhl, Physician to the Red Cross, New Verdala Camp writing to his mother in Berlin, cancelled with violet triple-oval 'FREE FROM PRISONER OF WAR/PC/1/MALTA' (B1) on face over-struck with violet 'Freigegeben/Auslandstelle Cöln-Deutz' (C1). The message is dated 8/8/1918 from the camp and then later endorsed "Dr Bruhl left for Germany via England 30/8/18 Censor", part of lettersheet missing and bottom separated from top.
