2616124  1949-50 registered covers to Melbourne with Australia frankings comprising 1949 (Feb 18) uprated use of Registered Letter stationery, and 1950 (Jan 28) airmail, 'AUST UNIT POSTAL STN/388' and '496' cancels of Hiro, respectively, both with fine strikes of registration panel error 'Servise' for 'Service'. NEW SOUTH WALES - Postal History

3125381  1854 (Sep 10) outer to France "pr Steamer Croesus" with 3d Laureate tied by Bars cancel of Sydney, '15' handstamp in black fine boxed 'COLONIES/&C ART.13' handstamp, Calais transit datestamp on face, Sydney departure and Paris arrival backstamps. [The Croesus broke both propellers en route via Cape Horn and proceeded to Ascension Island under sail, once a new propeller was fitted she continued to Calais via St Vincent (Cape Verde) & Southampton]
