1258 PS Minister of Defence: 1904 use of OHMS postcard with '3rd BATTALION INFANTRY BRIGADE' header in green on the reverse & 'MINISTER OF DEFENCE/FRANK/[Arms]/STAMP/VICTORIA' handstamp, 1d perf 'OS' tied by Ballarat duplex. Steig & Watson only record one example of this card, used in 1896. [From 1/11/1902, pre-franked articles could still be used provided appropriate postage was affixed over the frank stamp.]
