Some aging and peripheral blemishes, mainly fine. Nice trio, good value.

1663 ✉ 1840 (Jan 10) entire (usual folds) written by Mr W Hone posted to his daughter on the first day of the Uniform 1d Post with unframed two-line 'Fleet St/1d PAID' lightly struck in black over double frame Tombstone 'C/PAID/10JA10/1840' in red, on the back an mss '2' (in error?). Mr Hone's message to his daughter includes "I write . . . to send you a penny post letter. . ." Can't be anything but rare. [Includes biographical information about Mr W Hone, a substantial man of his times]
