VICTORIA - Postal History

668 ✉ 1864 (Jun 20) inwards cover from England to HB Ford, Cape Otway Lighthouse. The cover was received by the Harbour Master at Williamstown and then forward with the half-yearly supplies to the lighthouse. [Cape Otway was very isolated. Henry Ford was Lightkeeper from 1848 to 1879. Additional notes are supplied.]

The card is used by Rev HW Lane whose opinion of the CTO cards was somewhat less than that of modern-day collectors!
