NEW SOUTH WALES - DOCUMENTS & EPHEMERA

965  1817 Bill of Lading: for goods loaded on the Duke of Wellington at Cape Town for Sydney. The Consignment included 18 pipes (about 126 gallons x18) of rum & 6 pipes (about 92 gallons x6) of Cape Madeira. Import duty of 7/- per gallon was collected by Capt John Piper and paid to the Orphans Fund. A very rare document.
