1044 * 1894 Presentation Sheet headed 'REPRINTS/OF/SOUTH AUSTRALIAN POSTAGE STAMPS' with 35 issues optd 'REPRINT' and 12 issues optd 'SPECIMEN' (mainly 12mm) affixed with date of issue printed beneath each stamp. The sheet has been separated into 4 and then rejoined. Rare.

1051 V 1891 'POSTAGE & REVENUE': 5/- pale rose P10 Watermark Sideways SG #O87, GPO Adelaide 'SE15/[02]' CTO datestamp, light crease, Cat £7,500. RPSL certtificate (1969). An exceptionally rare stamp missing from nearly all collections. [Only one sheet of 60 was printed. Ed Williams recorded just eight used (seven CTO) and 16 mint examples in The 'Postage & Revenue' Long Stamps of South Australia (2002).]

1052  1846 (Dec 28) printed 'On the Service of The Customs/Collector' entire letter used London to Adelaide, fine crowned Paid datestamp in red (15JU15/1846) and arrival datestamp in black showing only the day and month slugs '28DE6' (appears to be poorly printed FREE handstamp). Few examples known. Central fold beginning to separate.

The letter reports on prospecting in the area. [The Bon Accord Mine closed the following year and did not re-open until 1858.]
